Food Insecurity in Oregon

Oregon has seen an increase in food insecurity following the COVID-19 Pandemic, with more residents facing food insecurity in 2023 than in 2020. The total increase from 2021 to 2023 was 12%, or 400,000 more Oregon residents facing food insecurity. Oregon residents have also had a higher need for emergency food assistance, likely due to the rising cost of living and the end of COVID assistance programs.
