Lead in Chicago Water
Elevated lead levels have been found in the drinking water of some homes in a Chicago suburb. The city of Aurora has issued a public notice that encouraged residents to use filters and get their children tested for lead. There is no safe level of lead ingestion as it leads to serious health effects like new learning or behavior problems and increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and kidney or nervous system problems.
