Maine Faces Uncertainty with PFAS

Already having spent more than $100 million combating the harmful presence of forever chemicals like PFAS in Maine’s water, state officials are entering a state of flux due to dwindling funds. There are several avenues in which to use the remaining funds for PFA removal and study. Still, many of them will place an additional monetary and maintenance burden on the communities they affect.
