Milwaukee’s Grocery Store Devastation

Milwaukee is facing the growing threat of food deserts with five Pick ‘n Save Grocery stores announcing their closures over the next 18 months. These closures will impact residents of the Milwaukee metro, restricting their access to accessible and affordable groceries. The presence of walkable big box grocery stores in urban communities greatly reduces the presence of food insecurity for their residents.
