Prioritize Patients Over Profits

The program, intended to provide affordable and essential care to underserved communities, instead exploits loopholes to generate profits for large hospital networks. These windfalls serve as additional revenue for hospitals, leaving the patients the program was designed to protect behind.
A recent survey in Colorado reveals that Americans are growing weary of this exploitation. 84% of Coloradans support a low that would require hospitals to use the discounts they receive from the 340B program to reduce out-of-pocket costs for patients. Lawmakers must take steps to ensure that this program is working as intended, not lining the pockets of big hospital systems. Read more here.
