Hospital Closures in Kansas
In January of this year, a Wichita area hospital closed, abruptly leaving residents without access to vital healthcare. This closure comes a year after the hospital filed for bankruptcy, hoping restructuring would allow them to keep the doors open for longer. A judge has since decided to evict the hospital as they were unable to raise operating costs. Hospitals like this one continue to close across the country, leaving Americans without access to vital emergency and preventative care.
