Hospital Closures Pose Unique Risks to Rural Americans

Rural healthcare cutbacks are increasing, leaving many Americans without access to vital preventative care. Three health clinics in rural Virginia recently announced their consolidation, moving care away from patients and limiting the number of services available. This consolidation comes at the heels of recent Medicaid cuts and contributes to the pervasive rural healthcare crisis.
