Minnesota’s PFAS Problem
The number of wells flagged for elevated levels of PFAS chemicals in the Twin Cities was 30 times higher in 2024 than in the previous year, reflecting the increase of PFAS levels nationwide. These harmful “forever chemicals” can cause long term health problems, including cancer, and are now contaminating wells within the Twin Cities Metro. The best response to a heightened risk of PFAS exposure is to test your water source and understand the level to which you could be affected.
