Minnesota’s PFAS Solution
PFAS chemicals are incredibly dangerous and infamously indestructible, but city officials in St. Cloud, MN are trying to find a way to permanently remove them from water sources. The city is looking to two new ways to breakup and eradicate these “forever chemicals” before they can spread into fertilizer, water sources, and the atmosphere. PFAS chemicals can lead to many health issues and contamination can come from a whole host of everyday items including kitchen appliances, drinking water sources, and food packaging.
