Rural Healthcare in Tennessee

Twelve small, rural hospitals in Tennessee are at immediate risk for closure. Hospital closures aren’t uncommon in Tennessee, with the state having one of the highest hospital closure rates in the country. Closure risk is drawn on examination of hospital losses and limited assets. Smaller hospitals are at greater risk of closure, though even if a hospital remains open, they may be forced to cut back on essential services or staff. Our Health Equity advocates for accessible and affordable healthcare for all Americans, no matter where they live. Read more here.
